Coronavirus (COVID-19) Visitor Policy

Long Island Community Hospital cares about our community and our employees. Please follow our new temporary guidelines for visiting the hospital.

We understand you care about your loved ones and we will do our best to keep the lines of communication open. However, at this time we can no longer allow visitors in our hospital.

Quiet time

Quiet Time is observed from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m and from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Tobacco Free Campus

Long Island Community Hospital is a Tobacco Free facility. For the health of our patients, employees and visitors smoking is not permitted on this campus or at any of our out-patient facilities. This includes all buildings, parking lots and grounds. We appreciate your cooperation.

The Greenhouse Café

The Greenhouse Café is located off the hospital’s main lobby and is open to the public. The café offers healthy salads, smoothies, soups and a variety of sandwiches; along with other delicious hot food made to order, and of course coffee and beverages. Its hours of operation are 7am to 7pm, seven days a week (closed Christmas and New Year’s Day). Major credit cards and Apple Pay are accepted.


Flowers are delivered to patients in their rooms by florist staff. Flowers are not permitted in the Intensive Care Units.


All mail sent to patients is delivered to their rooms by hospital volunteers.

To protect the privacy of our patients and visitors, we ask that you please do not take photos or videos while inside the hospital.
