Once again the Sayville Auto Dealer has designated the Community Hospital as the local charity for Subaru’s national “Share the Love” event. Donaldson’s Subaru, located in Sayville, NY, recently presented a check for $32,582 to Long Island Community Hospital, Patchogue, NY, after naming them as a designated local charity of choice as part of their continued participation in the national Subaru “Share the Love” event. This is the fourth year in a row that Donaldsons Subaru has chosen the community hospital as the designee.
The well-promoted campaign lets buyers decide which of the dealer’s designated not-for-profits will receive $250 for the purchase of a new car over a select period of time.
“We are so grateful for the support of our good friends at Donaldsons Subaru through Share the Love,” states Long Island Community Hospital President and CEO, Richard T. Margulis, “as well as their continued generosity as supporters of our other signature fundraisers throughout the year.”
“Through the Share the Love Event, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have donated more than $176 million to charity,” according to Steve Fulco, General Manager Sales Operations, “with customers choosing between four national and over 1,220 hometown charities.”
Over the four-year period, LI Community Hospital has been the recipient of over $146,000 as one of Donaldsons’ Share the Love hometown charities. “It is during these trying times that we rely on our long-time friends and supporters. The Donaldsons Subaru family continues to devote their time and talent to raise much needed funds for their community hospital,” states Rachel Schnabl, LI Community Hospital Vice President and Chief Development Officer.
“The real benefit of this program is that it allows us to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years,” says Donaldsons Subaru Owner and President David Donaldson. “These past few months have shown us all just how important a resource like Long Island Community Hospital is to this community.”
