Long Island Community Hospital Participates in National Dance Day
National Dance Day was established in 2010 by American Dance Movement co-founder, Nigel Lythgoe, and Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, as an annual celebration dedicated to dance. The idea is to encourage Americans of all ages to get healthy through dance. So to all of you who like to dance while you’re cooking, brushing your teeth or hanging out – you are ahead of the game because dance has so many health and happiness benefits! In September Long Island Community Hospital joined this national movement though our social media channels, highlighting the contributions of our local dance studios, leading up to the debut of the video from our own Live Well, Play Well Day of Dance event held at The Boys and Girls Club of the Bellport Area.
