MyHealth Family Medicine Physician Kym Carpentieri, DO has been selected as the winner of the Town of Brookhaven’s 33rd Annual Women’s Recognition Award in the Medicine Category.
In selecting Dr. Carpentieri, Brookhaven Town recognized her compassion, skill and dedication, as well as her passion for community medicine, playing an integral role in managing all aspects of care for her patients and making sure they have access to all of the care they need.
“Dr. Carpentieri is truly deserving of the recognition as a dedicated family physician, who brings quality healthcare to our community,” states Long Island Community Hospital President and CEO, Richard T. Margulis, “She is also a wonderfully compassionate human being.”
Dr. Carpentieri often sees all of the members of a family together, providing hi-touch care and guidance to both her patients and their caregivers. She is also being honored for her significant contribution to the community, as a member of both the Long Island Community Hospital Gala Committee and the Bellport Chamber of Commerce, as well as her local support of the arts through the Gateway Performing Arts Center.
Dr. Carpentieri joined Long Island Community Hospital in 2012 as a full-time clinician at MyHealth-Bellport Village. Her practice includes pediatrics (ages 6 and up) with a focus on preventative medicine, women’s health and diabetes care.
The award was presented on March 21st at 6:30 PM at Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY.
