Bariatric Surgery

Accredited as a Comprehensive Center by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP), the only accreditation program recognized by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), our bariatric surgery program combines the expertise of Stony Brook Medicine’s weight loss specialists with a patient-centered environment. We offer a dedicated and compassionate staff to support and guide you every step of the way.

Our multidisciplinary team brings years of experience in bariatric surgery and provides a comprehensive program designed to meet all of your weight loss needs. Our board-certified bariatric surgeons are experts in minimally invasive surgery for weight loss, including gastric bypass and gastric sleeve procedures, and have collectively performed thousands of bariatric surgical cases.

In a sensitive environment, with facilities that are designed to accommodate our patients and ongoing support groups, we have a highly experienced program team that is committed to helping you lose the weight, improve your health and enhance the quality of your life.
